Hey friend, got a table full of people who swear they have lightning-fast reflexes? Moose Match Mayhem (PH Edition) is about to put that to the test. From the creators of Taco Cat Goat Cheese Pizza, this card game has everyone playing at the same time, chanting "Moose, Match, Mayhem!" and scrambling to collect matching moose, bears, and squirrels. It's the Moose Match Mayhem Card Game for anyone who's ever sat quietly waiting for their turn and thought, "What if this was a lot louder?"
The Goal: Match Those Animals
The goal sounds simple: be the first player to collect three sets of animals. A set is three animals of the same color, like three white moose or three brown squirrels, and each animal comes in two colors, so watch closely. Wild cards can stand in for any card of the matching animal, so a wild bear can join two brown bears to finish a set.
That sounds easy until your cousin reaches for the exact same card as you, or your sibling suddenly spots the squirrel you've been waiting for. There's no sitting around waiting for someone else to finish their turn, because everybody is watching the table at once. Once you complete a set, you flip it face-down and move it off to the side, where it stays safe from whatever chaos comes next.

How a Round Plays
Everyone takes a card from a draw pile and holds it palm-up with the card face down, so nobody can peek. Then the whole table chants "Moose, Match, Mayhem!" and flips their cards face-up in the center on the word "Mayhem." The second those cards land, it's a race: you each grab the card you want, but you can claim only one card per round, and once someone has touched a card, nobody else is allowed to take it. Whatever you grab goes into your herd, the pile of animals you're collecting.
So what happens when two players grab the same card at the same time? The Moose Token settles it: everybody pauses, a neutral player flips the token while one of the two players calls heads or tails, and whoever wins the call wins the card. There's no five-minute debate about who touched it first, so you can get right back to hunting for animals.
Watch Out for Yetis and Avalanches!
Of course, Moose Match Mayhem wouldn't be much of a mayhem game if you could collect your animals in peace. The Yetis come first: if you collect two Yetis of the same color, they scare the animals away, and you have to put your entire herd into the discard pile. Your completed sets are safe, but everything else is gone.
Then there are the Avalanches, and when one lands in the middle, any player who touches any card must immediately put their entire herd into the discard pile, so keep your hands to yourself, even if the exact card you need is sitting right there. If nobody touches anything after a few seconds, everyone says "All clear!" and the cards in the middle get cleared away. You might be one card from finishing a set when a Yeti or an Avalanche wrecks your plans, and that's exactly what makes every round feel different.

Why Moose Match Mayhem Is Such a Hit
What makes the Moose Match Mayhem Card Game such an easy game-night pick is how quickly everybody can get involved. It's for 3 to 6 players, ages 7 and up, with a deck that adjusts to your group size, and a game takes about 10 to 15 minutes, so you don't need a long rules explanation or a complicated strategy before the fun starts. Kids can enjoy the silly animals and fast action, while adults can find out whether their reflexes are really as good as they claim.
It's a nice fit for a family after-dinner game, a weekend hangout with your barkada, or a quick filler between longer titles, and it's hard not to laugh when three people reach for one card at the same time. Phones get put down, everyone starts paying attention, and even the people who claimed they were "just watching" suddenly want in. Since games are so short and sweet, there's also plenty of time for the classic "Okay, one more round!"
