Getting Ready to Play
Give each player sixteen cards, laid face down in a neat 4x4 square. The cards are numbered 1 to 10, with ten of each number in the deck, so matches show up everywhere - that's where the fun begins.

Let's Play!
Everyone starts by choosing and revealing one card from their own grid. Whoever reveals the smallest number goes first.
Starting with the player who revealed the lowest number, here's how the game works:
1. Claim a revealed card.
Choose a face-up card from the table.
2. Create a gap and fill it.
Remove a card from your own grid, creating a gap, then slide the revealed card you claimed into that empty space.
The starting player keeps rotating clockwise as everyone repeats this fifteen more times. Eventually, every player's 4x4 grid will be fully face up.
That's what makes this Slide Card Game so much fun - you're always deciding which card to give up, which face-up card to grab, and how to set yourself up for a sneaky match later.
Time to Score
Once all the cards are face up, look at your grid. Any two matching numbers sitting side by side disappear completely - zero points for those. Add up whatever's left, and that's your score. Smallest number wins.
Want a longer game night? Play a few rounds until someone reaches 100 points, then whoever has the smallest total wins it all.
