Gaming Library gives gamers new home with PlayTaste
Pioneer hobby store Gaming Library adds new flavor to tabletop gaming with the launch of PlayTaste, Manila’s newest hang-out spot created by gamers, for gamers.
Created by Gaming Library, Spectre Manila, and Comic Odyssey, PlayTaste is a board game hub where avid gamers can purchase board games and play demo copies for free. PlayTaste provides a comfortable space with a sophisticated ambiance for those who like waging a war of wits with comrades.
When the thirst for board game adventures becomes all too real, PlayTaste guests can order a variety of finger food and refreshments available at the in-house bar. Players can delight themselves with addictive treats such as poptails (a fusion of popsicles and cocktails), or keep it cool with a glass of whiskey and an assortment of mixed drinks.
PlayTaste is set to be a rallying point for gamers everywhere, with weekly events and gatherings already planned for the Philippine gaming community. There will be daily activities that will allow customers to try out games that are yet to hit the market, or gain new experiences from board games produced by a single game publisher.
“In PlayTaste, we welcome hobbyists and hardcore gamers alike,” said Gaming Library’s Chief Meeple Hans Kenner Fernandez. “We want to nurture the community’s love and passion for gaming with a space where they can relax and spend quality time with friends and family through play. This way, we are making good with our promise of being a catalyst for bonding, learning, and growing among our customers.”
PlayTaste is located at the Spectre Manila headquarters in 916 Luna Mencias St., Mandaluyong City. The lounge is open from 1 to 10 PM from Sunday to Thursday, and 11 AM to 12 MN from Friday to Saturday.
