This starter set is a ready to play package, it has a dragonborn for PVE and 2 new Phoenixborn with 2 new dice types to play for PVP, also include errata card pack for all previous Ashes Reborn cards that have been re-worked / balanced.

From here on Ashes will release new Phoenixborn that has an astral or artifice dice type to combine from previous dice types
Now if you want to expand your collection or be more competitive, the next Phoenixborn or Set you should buy are the deluxe expansions, because this set comes with dice that are also ready to play.

But wait there's more! Did you know there are a total 30 Phoenixborn as of now including in Ascendancy? Yes there is a lot to play / build with it in your gameplay!
If you already have the Phoenixborn mentioned above it means you already have the Astral, Artifice, Time, Sympathy, and Divine Dice to combine with each other but there are still 4 more dice types that you can have and expand more to your deckbuilding strategy.
These 4 dice are the Ceremonial, Nature, Charm, and Illusion.
Can be found in Masters Set along the 1st 6 Phoenixborn (Aradel, Noah, Coal, Maeoni, Saria, and Jessa). But sadly the Master set is hard to find right now but the good news is you can buy these Dice by 5 pcs in the Gaming Library!

If you’re an old player of ashes and you have the old masters sets (Ashes Rise of the Phoenixborn) and expansions you need to upgrade some of your old cards with Ashes Reborn 1.5 upgrade kit
There are some cards that have been errata'd from the Ashes Rise of the Phoenixborn set, and of course the latest errata cards can be found on Ashes Ascendancy Starter kit.

The REDRAINS EXPANSION!
Red Rain expansion are also for PVE but most important is that in this expansion Second Unique cards are available for some Phoenixborn. Each Redrains expansion is focus on a Certain Dice and 4 Phoenixborn that run with that dice! And of course this is also a ready to play deck with new cards support for a certain dice in each expansions

The Corpse Of Viros, It’s an expansion for Ceremonial Dice user Phoenixborn.
Phoenixborn included in this Expansion has their 2nd Unique Cards. (Brennen, Coal, Jessa, Noah)
2nd Expansion
The Frostwild Scourge, It’s an expansion for Nature Dice user Phoenixborn.
Phoenixborn included in this Expansion has their 2nd Unique Cards.

The Blight of Neverset, It’s an expansion for Charm Dice user Phoenixborn.

Take note! only Phoenixborn are the same as their Pre-con deck pack, the other cards included here are totally different and new including the Phoenixborn’s Unique Cards! (RedRains expansions decks are different from their Pre-con decks)
