Importing my FB post: Just One PH is arguably better than the original (at least for us Filipinos) I was hesitant on getting Just One PH NOT because I can't speak in Filipino (I'm above average, I think lol), but because I have a brother who isn't as proficient in the language. Playing it for the first time, it was a pleasant surprise. A lot of these words have so much meaning behind them because of their cultural impact. Words like pikon (sore loser na parang hindi) and gigil which don't really have exact translations to words like meralco and luneta that are part of our everyday lives. The fact that the words have cultural significance also adds to the metagame of guessing the word itself. Overall, it's just really funny, and isn't that what we want in a party game? If you are not convinced however and are more comfortable with English words, you can always use the English counterpart of the word (Kung meron) P. S. I didn't get the PH version of codenames, but it looks more appealing after playing this. The Picture Guess the word I was given! These were the clues given to me (lol), I wasn't able to guess it
Great game for our family!
This is a great game to add to any library. A usual challenge in word-based games is that not everyone has the same depth of vocabulary, but it does not matter in Just One. It is, at its core, a word-association game, and everyone can play, be it your youngest child, to your grandmother. Highly recommended!
Just One is very easy to teach yet it's so much fun to play. The Philippine edition is definitely recommended!
Fun!!! Mas gusto ng dad ko and ng mga kapatid ko. Something na familiar sila sa words because its tagalog na. =)
