Phoenixborn are the powerful, demi-god wizard-warriors at the heart of the expandable card game franchise Ashes Reborn: Rise of the Phoenixborn and its standalone sequel Ashes Ascendancy, published by Plaid Hat Games.

Born with extraordinary abilities, these characters saved humanity from monstrous threats known as Chimeras. However, peace was broken by a prophecy stating that a Phoenixborn who absorbs enough ashes from their fallen peers will ascend to full godhood. This lore serves as the foundation for the tactical, back-and-forth duels between players.
