On August 16, 2025, eight players gathered at Uptown Mall for an afternoon of tactical duels and faction mind games. With only a tight five-hour window and a stacked roster of competitors, every round mattered — and the shifting ban/pick strategies revealed a lot about where the meta is heading.

Winner Recap

The standout of the tournament was Rikki, who piloted Isle Vekkid to a flawless run. Whether facing disruptive factions like the Cloaks or powerhouses like The Forged, Rikki’s precise play and sharp drafting pushed Isle Vekkid to the top.

Anton followed close behind, leveraging Skyspear Avians and later The Forged to secure key wins. His ability to pivot between factions highlighted how adaptability continues to be a winning trait in competitive Summoner Wars.

Meta Analysis

  • Isle Vekkid dominates – The faction went undefeated, showing both aggressive power and resilience in grindy matchups. Going forward, this will likely be a top ban in most drafts.

  • Cloaks struggle – Being highly banned, Cloaks couldn’t keep pace this time. With Isle Vekkid and Forged in circulation, their fragility was heavily exposed.

  • Mountain Vargath & Chosen Grove rise – Both factions posted important wins, cementing themselves as reliable mid-tier picks that can swing games in the right hands.

  • Adaptability wins tournaments – The top players didn’t rely on a single faction; they navigated bans, adjusted picks, and found the right answers each round.

The Most Banned Faction

Interestingly, the Cloaks and Skyspear Avians drew the most bans across the day. Even though Isle Vekkid ended undefeated, players repeatedly shut them out at the draft table, showing the lingering respect (and fear) they command in competitive play.

Upcoming Schedule:

The next Competitive Line event is on the horizon — and after Isle Vekkid’s dominance and Cloaks’ constant presence in the ban phase, the meta chess match is only going to get more intense.
