The September 27th Dice Throne Ranked session was the last proving ground before the community’s biggest event yet: High Stakes. With the pressure mounting, players brought out both their most reliable champions and a few bold experiments.
Winner Highlights

-
Marcellus kept steady momentum with Cyclops, notching two wins, and later turned to Deadpool for a clutch one-point victory over Kenneth's Thor
-
mrrobot101's first rodeo was the story of the event. His commitment to Deadpool carved through multiple opponents, taking down both Ken and Paul in back-to-back matches, before capping things off with another win over Loki.
Meta Watch

-
Deadpool Rising. Multiple players leaned on Deadpool, and Richard in particular made him look like a tier-one threat. Expect more bans headed his way in High Stakes.
-
Pyromancer Still Burns Bright. Despite mixed success, Pyromancer continues to be a go-to opener, showing why she’s respected in bans.
-
Cyclops Gaining Traction. Marcellus’s consistency with Cyclops suggests he’s becoming a sleeper pick with solid all-around reliability.
-
Diversity in Picks. Unlike earlier sessions, we saw wide hero usage, including Thor, Seraph, Jean Grey, and even Samurai. The field is clearly trying to stay unpredictable going into the big stage.
Looking Ahead to High Stakes

This was the final rehearsal before the premier event, and it showed. Players experimented with bans, rotated deeper into their rosters, and tested different tempo strategies. If this night was any indication, High Stakes will not only be about raw power picks, but it’ll be about preparation, adaptation, and nerves under pressure.
