The spirit of battle was alive and fierce at this year’s All Aboard EXPO 2025, as 72 brave warriors clashed in the Unmatched Tournament! After a full day of epic duels, mind games, and close calls, it was Haince De Leon who emerged as the ultimate champion!
Andrew Anthony Carlos secured second place, while Bohdan Shanhutov took third, and Ace Vincent Samia rounded out our top four. From clever feints to brutal finishes, the tournament showcased exactly why Unmatched continues to be one of the most exciting competitive board games today.

We were also joined by a special guest: cosplayer Yuri, who came in full regalia as Yennefer of Vengerberg! Not only did she bring some serious sorceress vibes to the expo floor, but she also taught newcomers how to play Unmatched. If you learned the ropes from her, count yourself lucky; few teachers are that magical.

Expo attendees also got an exclusive gift: a world-first preview of the Santa’s Workshop Battle Map, before anyone else! This festive battlefield brings with it a brand-new map mechanic and delightful chaos.
Meanwhile, over at UK Games EXPO, another legendary figure was revealed: the mysterious and terrifying Chupacabra card.
Battle of Legends, Volume Three: The Final Chapter of a Trilogy
For those new to the battlefield, Unmatched is a highly asymmetrical, card-driven miniature fighting game. Heroes from history, myth, pop culture, and legend face off in fast-paced duels that reward clever tactics and bold risks. No two characters play alike, and that’s exactly what makes every match fresh.
Battle of Legends, Volume Three introduces four wildly unique fighters:

In true “ultimate mashup” fashion, these characters come from across the worlds of myth and folklore. Pandora, Loki, and Chupacabra were all runners-up in Restoration Games’ 2020 deck design contest, proving fan creativity helps shape the future of the game.
The set also introduces two new battlefields, including the much-hyped Santa’s Workshop, which adds new twists to your tactical toolbox.
“For Volume 3, we decided to treat the series like a great trilogy and bring it to a close,” said Justin Jacobson, president of Restoration Games. “We’re leaning into more tightly themed sets for the next few cycles. In the end, we just thought it would be a fun way to go — it’s our Return of the King!”
