The anticipation is building as All aBOARD EXPO draws closer, signaling the return of our own different kind of Tournament Season. This means epic clashes across different boards, cards, meeples, what have you—get ready, players, to immerse yourselves in the competitive gauntlet of board games!
We’ve got a whopping four–yes, four–tournaments taking place at All aBOARD EXPO, so mark your calendars, gather your gear, and prepare for the adrenaline-fueled excitement that only this newfound local tournament season can deliver.
Reminder lang ulit, guys, All aBOARD EXPO is coming your way this October 13th-15th at the East Wing Atrium of Shangri-La Plaza Mall! We hope to see you there as we’ll be launching a new PH board game, previewing the latest from Essen Spiel games DAYS after the global launch, and featuring GIANT versions of your favorite titles, all while conducting the following tournaments!
Cascadia
Cascadia is an abstract, tile-laying strategy game. Players take a journey through the Pacific Northwest to compete in creating the most harmonious ecosystem. They do so by drafting hexagonal terrain tiles and animals such as bears, salmon, and elk. These tiles and animals are added to the player’s landscape to score points based on conditions that change with each game. The great outdoors is calling—it’s calling on you to build the best habitat in Cascadia! Herd your wildlife and build your biggest territories, because the Cascadia Philippine Championship is upon us!
Be one of 32 players to compete in our Cascadia Tournament for the chance to become the Philippine champion and represent the country in the Asia championship leg to be held at CMON Expo Bangkok, and runners up win Cascadia Expansion sets!
Marvel Remix
In Marvel Remix, players build a team of heroes and allies to take on infamous villains. From a hand of seven cards, players are dealt characters, items, or locations from throughout the Marvel Universe. Using these, players go about arming their characters with powerful equipment or maneuvers and use their cards to build the best hand with the strongest combos. The player with the most points at the end of the game wins! Are you avengers ready to assemble for a Marvel Remix Tournament?
16 players will remix to the best of their ability for the chance to win a Fantasy Realms Gift Set, while all participants win an exclusive Squirrel Girl Card!
Ticket To Ride
From Edinburgh to Constantinople and from Lisbon to Moscow, Ticket to Ride: Europe takes players from city-to-city across turn-of-the-century Europe. Collect and play various types of train cards in order to place pieces on the board and claim railway routes in Europe, slowly but surely connecting cities using ticket cards. Players earn points both from placing trains and completing tickets, but uncompleted tickets lose them points. Make sure to hold on to your tickets, passengers, as we visit the great cities of turn-of-the-century Europe in our special Ticket to Ride: Europe Tournament!
Up to 16 players get to board this train in the hopes of winning Ticket to Ride: Legacy, while runners up win Whole Day Play Vouchers at All aBOARD XP!
Catan
On the island of Catan, players fight to be the island’s dominant force by building settlements, cities, and roads. Roll dice each turn to determine what resources the island produces, and players build by spending resources (sheep, wheat, wood, brick, and ore) that are depicted by these resource cards. Each land type, with the exception of the unproductive desert, produces a specific resource. Players accumulate points by building settlements and cities, having the longest road and the largest army, and gathering certain development cards that simply award victory points. When a player has gathered 10 points (some of which may be held in secret), they announce their total and win. Will you be the standout settler to give rise to the most powerful city?
We’re looking for 16 players to trade, settle, barter, and build in the Catan Tournament! Runners up score Whole Day Play Vouchers at All aBOARD XP, but winners not only become the settler that most thrives on the Island, but also walks away with a special Catan 3D Set!
